De Cataluña, Mallorca y Valencia. Unos V., en el Vallés (Barcelona), fueron señores de la casa de Saserra y de la de Vallgor. Bernardo de V., casó con Bartolomea de Canet, señora de la "domus" de Canet, en el Maresme (Barcelona), y su descendencia llevó el apellido de Canet, hasta que recayó en los Peguera. Otros en Cervera (Lérida), fueron señores del Guspí, Montmagastre, quadra de V., Montargull y otros feudos que, por matrimonio, recayeron en la familia de Meca, cuyos miembros pasaron a llamarse V., por razón de vinculación. Ramón de V., señor del castillo de Sacabecs, fue convocado por Pedro III a las Cortes de Barcelona el 15 de agosto de 1358. Sebastián de V. y de Ortigós, hijo del señor del Guspí, fue caballero de la Orden de San Juan en 1570. Juan V., pariente por línea materna de doña Teresa Gil de Viladaure, mujer del rey Jaime I, y ayo de los hijos de ambos, fue alcaide de Jérica, en Valencia.
