Hubo en el reino de Navarra una casa de hijos-dalgo muy antigua, conocida con el nombre de casa de Hogazon o de los Hogazones, de la cual pasó una rama a Castilla, que hizo su asiento en V. y Villasorda; y por estar sus casas situadas en el centro de dichas villas y ser las principales de las mismas, fueron designados sus dueños y poseedores, ya con el nombre de V., ya con el de Villasorda. De estos procedió un caballero llamado García de V., que tuvo por hijo a Juan Hernandez de Villasorda, padre de Hernan Sanz de Villasorda y de Gonzalo de V. Este casó en Medina de Rioseco con Doña María de Palacios; y tuvieron por hijo a Martin de V., que casó con Doña Catalina de Cisneros; y tuvieron entre otros hijos a Doña Ana de V., la cual casó con Rui Gonzalez de Vozmediano, cuya casa recayó en la de los marqueses de V.
