Diese Familie stammt aus Südfrankreich und hat als Vorfahren einen Giovanni, der mit der Lizenz von Renato, Bastard des Savoyer Hauses, Gouverneur und Generalleutnant der Provence, und 1515 zum ersten Stadtrat und Richter der Stadt Aix in Narbonne Gallien ernannt wurde und hatte dann andere ehrenwerte Ämter in San Maximino, Brignolle, Bariols, Lorgnes und anderswo gehabt. Er nahm einen ständigen Wohnsitz in San Maximino, wo seine Nachkommen lange Zeit die Posten des Meeres, des ersten Konsulats, des Kapitäns der Stadt usw. erhielten. Einer von ihnen, Melchiorre, di Pietro, di Jacopo, tapferer Krieger und Bruder des tapferen Francesco Vincenzo, Kommandeur der Expedition, die 1658 für SMC, die Inseln S. Margherita und S. Onorato di Lerins, wiederhergestellt wurde, ließ sich in Livorno nieder , wo er aus seiner Ehe mit Camilla Frugoni Francesco (1654) und Gaspero Luigi (1656) hatte. 1722 erhielt er von Großherzog Cosimo III. Die Anerkennung des Adels seiner Linie und gehörte 1725 und '26 zu den Gonfaloniers von Livorno. Sein Sohn Giuseppe Maria, von 1732 bis 1747 mehrmals Gonfalonier, Arbeiter des Doms usw., hatte die pisanische Adlige Maria Lucrezia Bernardi in erster Ehe und in zweiter Stimme (1731) Eleonora Nini Sienesischer Adliger geheiratet, von der er Luigi Gaspero, Francesco, hatte Baldassarre und Afranio Emanuele Maria, mit denen er per Dekret vom 5. April 1756 das Dekret des Adels von Pisa und mit Dekret vom 23. März 1768 das Dekret des Adels von Livorno erhielt.
