La storia dei Vincentini si confonde con quella dei Vecchiarelli e dei Vincenti, derivando le tre famiglie da uno stipite comune e cioè da Vecchiarellus Ricardella uxor (1150). Alessandro Vincentini (1543-1571) sposò Lidia Secenaria ed ebbe fra gli altri figli, Ippolito (1570-1641) che fu gonfaloniere di Rieti e sposò Flaminia Capelletti, ed Annibale (1598), marito di Margherita Vaccato. Linea di Ippolito. Da Ippolito nacque Alessandro (30 maggio 1597), il quale fu marito di Artemisia Ricci ed ebbe Marco Antonio (4 giugno 1624), nunzio da Napoli, poi vescovo di Foligno, e Tiburzio (14 marzo 1628), che fu gonfaloniere di Rieti e sposò a Maria Monaldeschi. Il 25 maggio 1695 monsignor Marcantonio, insieme al fratello Tiburzio e discenenti, ebbe il conferimento della nobiltà di Spoleto. Da Tiburzio discendono in linea diretta gli attuali rappresentanti questo ramo, che, con Decreto Presidenziale 25 luglio 1929, furono iscritti nel Libro d'Oro della Nob. Ital. e
