De Cataluña y Mallorca. El doctor José V., de la real audiencia de Cataluña, obtuvo privilegio de caballero del Principado, dado por Felipe IV, en Madrid, el 25 de febrero de 1645. Bernardo V., natural de Flassá (Gerona), también fue agraciado con el mismo privilegio para toda su descendencia masculina y femenina, por Carlos I, dado en Barcelona, el 23 de junio de 1555. Su descendiente Pedro de V. y Veguer, partidario del archiduque-pretendiente, fue teniente general del ejército austriaco desde 1733 y el emperador Carlos VI, como rey de Nápoles, le concedió el título de conde de V. Veguer, por Decreto dado en Viena, el 5 de abril de 1732. Juan y Mateo de V. y Ribot y el hijo de este último, Salvador de V. y Ciurana, vecinos de Foixá, fueron habilitados como caballeros en las Cortes de 1626.
