Ancienne et très noble famille de Toscane, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie, avec des établissements plus visibles dans la région milanaise et dans le monde. La famille a commencé dans la ville de Florence, dont la citoyenneté a été admise dans le quartier de Santa Maria Novella, la bannière du Lion blanc. Au XVIIe siècle, une branche de celle-ci passa à Fiesole. Là, avec le départ du 1er décembre 1843, la magistrature civique de Fiesole proposa que Luigi Rinaldo, feu podestat Paolo, soit inscrit dans la classe noble de cette ville. Cette proposition fut acceptée avec un rescrit grand-ducal du 7 juin 1844. La famille est donc inscrite sur la liste officielle des nobles italiens avec le titre de noble de Fiesole (mf).
