Oriunda da Porlezza nel ducato di Milano, pose sua stanza a Mirandola, nel secolo XVII. Pietro, di Giovanni Domenico era podestà di Mirandola allorquando nel 1814 Francesco IV salì al trono ducale di Modena. Confermato successivamente inndetta carica per vari anni, meritò che la sua casa fosse onorata dal sovrano. Il 1 dic. 1818 i Conservatori e Rappresentanti del ceto nobile della patria città gli concessero il titolo di nobile della Mirandola, trasmissibile ai figli e discendenti suoi in perpetuo. Al figlio suo Dott. Carlo Alberto, che resse cariche comunali diverse, fu confermato il detto titolo il 20 aprile 1837. Un fratello di Carlo Alberto. Giovanni Domenico Sacerdote nel 1816, fondò in Mirandola la Congregazione di San Filippo Neri, e più tardi fu canonico della Collegiata del Finale. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile di Mirandola (m) in persona dei disc. da Carlo Alberto
