Ancient and noble family from Calabria, with main residence in the city of Tropea, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down to us, the family belonged to the noble seat of Portercole in Tropea. In fact, the family has always distinguished itself for the high level of its members who have always held important positions in their homeland. However, the destructive time has left only a few documents. But even in the nineteenth century, the family had a prominent position in society. We want to remember then: Antonio, notary in Tropea, flourishing in 1817; Francesco, an important member of the Evangelist Church, flourishing in the early nineteenth century; another Francesco, an official of the Ministry of the Interior, in the late 19th century. For the sake of completeness we also report a hypothesis that sees the Vizzone family
