Spanischen Ursprungs, der 1798 dem Adel von Messina zugeschrieben wurde und Voce o Voces hieß, verbreitete er sich in verschiedenen Städten des Königreichs. Unter den auffälligen Charakteren dieser Familie erinnern wir uns an den Schwiegerarzt Bartolomeo Domenico (von Ludovico), der im Jahr 1801 Richter des königlichen Publikums von Messina war und 1798-1807 beim edlen Meister von Messina eingeschrieben war. Das Wappen der Familie Voces lautet: Blau gespalten und ein natürliches Meeresmotiv von einer Terrasse desselben; im ersten unterging der Schatten der roten Sonne im Meer, überragt von einem goldenen Kometen, der auf der Stange schwankte; in den zweiten zwei Männern mit Teint, die auf der Terrasse platziert waren, der erste mit einem roten Rock, der schreiend auf den Boden gerichtet und umgestürzt war, der zweite mit einem goldenen Rock, der eine silberne, schwarz ausgepeitschte Lanze in der Bar hielt den anderen verletzen.

Spaccato d'azzurro e di un mare al naturale movente da una terrazza dello stesso; nel primo l'ombra di sole di rosso tramontante nel mare, sormontata nel capo da una cometa d'oro, ondeggiante in palo; nel secondo due uomini di carnagione, posti sulla terrazza, il primo al gonnellino di rosso, rivolto e rovesciato a terra in atto vociare, il secondo al gonnellino d'oro, impugnante in isbarra una lancia d'argento, fustata di nero, sul punto di ferir l'altro.
