Antigua y noble familia piamontesa con el título comital y propagada, con el tiempo, en diferentes regiones de Italia donde, en la antigüedad, también se transcribió como un Vuelo. Un Luigi Voli, oficial de artillería, hijo del abogado y presidente de la corte Stefano y Adele Charrier, por donaciones caritativas al Instituto para las Hijas de los Militares de Turín, fue creado con RD motu proprio el 24 de diciembre de 1899 y posterior RR .LL.PP. 5 de julio de 1900. Con el RD 3 de mayo de 1900 obtuvo la concesión del arma. Se casó con Luigi (1871) Alix en el caballero Vincenzo Denina y de esta boda nacieron: Adele (n. Turín el 10 de septiembre de 1872), quien se casó (1898) con el conde Warmondo Barattieri di S. Pietro, Stefania (n. Turín el 17 de junio de 1884) quien se casó (1904) con Fernando di Edoardo Scarampi de Villanova; Paola (n. Turín, 11 de junio de 1886) que se casó (1908) con el noble Vittorio dei conti Casana y Emilio (n. Turín el 22 de septiembre de 1889). La familia está registrada en el Libro de Oro del Noble Italiano y en la Lista Oficial de Nobles Italianos con el título de conde (mpr) en la persona de Emilio, Luigi, di Stafno. Hermanas: Adele en Barattieri di S. Pietro, Stefania i Scarampi de Villanova, Paola, en Casana. Lema familiar: Altius tendo.
