Antica famiglia piacentina, ramo dei Landi. Stefano Landi, dottore collegiato, iscritto nell'albo cittadino il 5 ottobre 1573, fu lettore facondissimo nel ginnasio di Pavia per decr. del Senato di Milano dell'8 novembre 1569, fu pure capitano di giustizia in Mantova ed uditore di Rota in Toscana. Rocco, per atto Dordoni Giacomo del 21 gennaio 1603, lasciò a favore dell'ospizio delle orfane di Piacenza un cospicuo legato, onde fu iscritto tra i benefasttori del pio istituto. Francesco fu dichiarato il 2 novembre 1697 marcherse d'Ivaccari, coi discendenti maschi per atto Dosio. Un Orazio Volpolandi fu crato conte con Pat. ducale 11 agosto 1711; un Ottavio era tenente nell milizie ducali; un Ranuzio era capitano. Nel ramo marchionale da primo investito discese Giovanni Battista (n. 1697), da cui Angelo, sposo alla contessa Girolama Roncovieri (deced. 1814), che ebbe Giambattista, sposo a Nicoletta Boggiani, nato nel 1804, da cui nacquero quattro figli, Luigi,
