Ancient and noble Swabian family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries, with main branches in Switzerland and Holland. This noble lineage took its name from the village of Weiler, today district of Obersulm (Heilbronn). The toponym Weiler, ancestral home of the family, firstly appears in 1037. The oldest documents about family members date back to the period between 1127 and 1147. There is in fact memory of three Weiler brothers: Nibelunc, Otto and Konrad. The nobility of the family descends from a Conrad von Weiler who received in 1245 from Count Albrecht von Löwenstein a fief forest property. The family's early relationships are largely unknown. The secured descent begins in 1322 with the deceased in that year Hans von Weiler, to which all later descendants go back. A branch of the family flourished in Bavaria and more precisely in Reichenberg. We remember Johann Friedrich
