Varie famiglie sono conosciute in Verona ed un Bartolomeo fu accolto nobile consigliere nel 1409. Questa famiglia si trova in istato di distinta civiltà dalla metà del sec. XIX. Per il matrimonio di Pietro con Emma Montanari, passò in questa il titolo di conte di Prandelle e S. Prosdocimo appartenente al Comitato Veronese e che aveva la eventuale successione femminile. La famiglia è una delle più antiche veronesi, aggregata a quel nobile Consiglio nel 1439 e che figura nel campione dell'estimo dal 1409. Investita dei feudi di Prandelle e San Prosdocimo da remoto tempo, fu confermata in quelli e nel titolo comitale con Decreto del Senato 12 nov. 1654. Manfredo e Guido, di Pietro e di Emma Montanari, con Regio decreto I°maggio 1924 ottennero la concessione dello stemma e furono riconosciuti nel titolo e predicati con Regie lettere patenti di regio Assenso del I° giugno 1924, che li autorizzò inoltre
