Antiga e nobre família, originária da Lombardia. O Comendador GB de Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu "dicionário histórico de brasões de famílias nobres e notáveis italianas". Outro ramo. Antiga e nobre família, originária do Vêneto. Outra família erguida como arma: fendida na primeira de azul, flanqueada por uma pomba de prata, tendo no bico um ramo de oliveira verde; na segunda em prata, a um antebraço vestido de vermelho, movendo-se do lado esquerdo, segurando cinco orelhas folheadas a ouro. Era costume das famílias mais antigas, que após a queda do Império Romano, naquela “inundação dos bárbaros”, tendo seus sobrenomes, assim como seus bens, perdidos, e restando apenas com nomes simples, desenhar novamente seus sobrenomes, e sua casa pelos nomes de seus paternos e anciãos.
