La nobiltà della famiglia Zamuner, che annovera personaggi di chiara fama, per quanto riguarda il patriziato di Imola si fa risalire al 1737, in cui Camillo, di Valeriano, di Giuseppe Maria, fu ascritto a quel Consiglio. Ma anche prima di quell'anno i membri della famiglia vantavano il titolo di conte, e Antonio, del dottore Giuseppe predetto, si trova iscritto in autentici documenti colla qualifica di conte. Egli infatti fiorì in Roma nel primo trentennio del secolo l'illustre e compianto storico della Real Accademia de Espana, don Francisco Fernandez de Bethencourt, definisce la famiglia, assai apprezzato come poeta e molto ben visto presso quella Curia; ma tornò poi in patria a passarvi gli ultimi anni, durante i quali sedette nel Consiglio Senatoriale della sua città. Il 18 settembre 1740, con senatu consulto del Consiglio Principe e Sovrano della Repubblica di S. Marino, fu creato patrizio sammarinese con tutti i suoi discendenti
