Famiglia oriunda da Casale Monferrato, la quale venne nobilitata in persona dei fratelli Vincenzo, Bartolomeo e Orazio, figli del notaio e segretario del Senato monferrino Francesco, i quali vennero infeudati di Valmacca il 1° giugno 1673. Estinto Bartolomeo ed entrato in religione Orazio, Vincenzo venne investito delle parti spettanti ai fratelli del feudo di Valmacca col titolo comitale il 22 febbraio 1698. Figlio di Vincenzo e di Antonia Montiglio di Villanova fu Ferdinando il quale vendette il feudo di Valmacca ad Iganzio Coppa il 30 marzo 1741. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia, originaria della Romagna. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane.
