Antica ed assai nobile famiglia campana, originaria di Versano Teano, in provincia di Caserta, conosciuta come Zaroni o Zarone, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La casata è stata riconosciuta nel titolo di barone degli Infanti (mpr.), con Regio Decreto di riconoscimento 20 febbraio 1927 e Regie Lettere Patenti 29 luglio 1927. Tal riconoscimento è giunto in persona di Tommaso (* Napoli, 21 novembre 1879 † ivi, 2 ottobre 1965), cavaliere della Corona d’Italia, dei SS. Maurizio e Lazzaro, decorato di medaglia d’argento al valor militare nella campagna della I guerra mondiale, tenente colonnello della riserva del Regio Esercito, il quale sposò in Napoli, in data 29 aprile 1908, Ida Bianchi († Napoli, 15 gennaio 1960), dalla cui unione nacquero: Franco (* Napoli, 7 marzo 1909 † ivi, 9 maggio 1947); Raffaella (* Napoli, 4 agosto 1911 † Roma, 13 aprile 1986);
