Famiglia molto antica che diede Giberto od Uberto podestà di Corea negli anni 1251, 1252, 1253. Mexador, fu circa il 1380 moglie di Checchino della Scala; Florio notajo fu nel 1404 da Francesco da Carrara signore di Verona creato governatore di alcuni benefici ecclesiastici, vicario della Palpolicella ed esattore dei canonicati della Cattedrale; Omobono fu ufficiale e presidente dell'importante uffficio detto dei Carri; Giovanni-Simone podestà di Peschiera nel 1608. Ammessa nel 1408 al nobile Consiglio; Federico nel 1712 fu l'ultimo che vi appartenne. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, havendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da' nomi proprii paterni, e de' maggiori.
