Antichissima famiglia napoletana, di avita nobiltà, conosciuta sin dal XV secolo, illustrata da alti uffici di magistratura e decorata del titolo di barone, con R.D. 10 settembre 1855, in persona del cavaliere Donato, alto magistrato del regno delle Due Sicilie. Arme del casato. D'oro ad una pera al naturale fogliata di verde. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia, detta Periglios o Perillo, la quale godette nobiltà in Messina, secondo il Galluppi, nel secolo XV. Un Raimondo tenne l'eccelsa carica di vicerè in Sicilia nel 1441; un Luigi fu castellano di Mistretta, 1447, e con privilegio del 1 settembre 1455 ottenne concessione della terra di Gagliano. Arme: d'oro, al leone di rosso. Altro ramo. Antica famiglia pugliese, la quale, al dir di illustri genealogisti, venne, verosimilmente, fregiato del cavalierato, in seguito alla partecipazione, sotto i vessilli aragonesi, connotata da coraggio e virtù, di un Carlo Zerillo alla guerra d'Otranto, del 1481,
