Credesi che la nob. fam. di Pesaro derivi dall'omonima di Firenze. Terenzio fu ascritto al nobile patriziato di Pesaro nel 1723. Il 26 ottobre 1773 il vescovo di Sarzina concesse l'investitura della quarta parte della contea di Apozzo ai nobili fratelli Giamberardino e Andrea figli di Terenzio. Tale investitura fu sanzionata dal Sommo Pontefice e doveva rinnovarsi ogni terza generazione. Andrea (1723-1797) fu creato nel 1790 Brigadiere nell'esercito di Ferdinando IV re delle Due Sicilie. Giamberardino (1735-1812) fe' parte del nob. Consiglio di Pesaro e dal 1771 al 1780 coprì più volte la carica di priore; e nel 1781 e 1786 fu gonfaloniere. Il 15 giugno 1763 sposò la marchesa Annunziata Bourbon del Monte. Luigi nacque 16 agosto 1788 dal detto conte Giamberardino e m.sa Bourbon del Monte. Si fe' sacerdote. Il 17 febbraio 1822 fu annoverato tra i camerieri segreti di Leone XII; il 2 febbraio 1825 ebbe il
