Casas solares en las villas de Munguía, del partido judicial de Guernica (Vizcaya), y de Vergara (Guipúzcoa). Una rama moró en Lequeitio, del partido judicial de Marquina (Vizcaya), y de ella fué el Capitán Manuel garcía de Cearreta, que el 26 de Marzo de 1513, peleando sobre la isla de Bujas con su sola carabela Santa Maria, contra doce naves francesas, ocho cargadas de mercancías y cuatro armadas, en su custodia, consiguió apresar, después de tres horas de lucha, dos de las naos enemigas con sus Capitanes y 190 hombres de pelea. La Reina doña Juana le premió por ese caleloso hecho, concediéndole las armas que después describiremos, por Real cédula dada en Valladolid el 26 de Junio del citado año de 1513.
