Antica ed illustre famiglia grigiona diramatasi in molte linee, una delle quali si stabilì in Val Pregallia ed in Tirano. Rodolfo nel 1200 fu podestà della Pregallia, ove un ramo della sua famiglia prese il nome del villaggio di Soglio, di cui ebbe il dominio, e del cui castello da esso abitato fin verso la rivoluzione francese non restano che pochi ruderi. Il ramo della famiglia di Tirano il 26 Agosto 1694 ebbe il titolo di conti del Sacro Romano Impero. Lo stemma della famiglia Zizer è: Spaccato; nel primo d'oro, al salice sradicato di verde; nel secondo bandato d'argento e di rosso. Cimiero: Una vergine ignuda e coronata, avente due ali in luogo di braccia, delle quali una d'argento e l'altra di rosso.
