Ancient and illustrious Graubünden family branched out in many lines, one of which settled in Val Pregallia and Tirano. Rodolfo was the podestà of Pregallia in 1200, where a branch of his family took the name of the village of Soglio, of which he had dominion, and whose castle he inhabited since the French Revolution only a few ruins remain. The branch of the family of Tirano on August 26, 1694 had the title of counts of the Holy Roman Empire.
