Antica è la signoria dei Zorino su Beinasco. Il 22 giugno 1239 Federico, di Piossasco, anche a nome degli altri consignori di Beinasco, di lui consorti, e cioè Guidone di Piossasco col figlio Oberto, Ottone di Piossasco ed Ardizzone Fea, facevano investitura a titolo di donazione irrevocabile alla comunità di Torino, rappresentata dai chiavari Giacomo Cagnassone e Oberto Porcello e dai sindaci Guglielmo Cagnassone e Giovanni Valle, del castello, della villa e del territorio di Beinasco. Il 16 successivo luglio Giovanni di Piossasco ratificava la donazione fatta dal padre Federico. Il 14 aprile 1619 la città di Torino veniva infeudata (interinazione 2 maggio) di Grugliasco, venutole dal duca Carlo Emanuele I per soddisfare debiti di guerra, e ne riportava l'investitura il 10 successivo giugno con le altre del 14 gennaio 1678 e 22 aprile 1732. E' da ricordarsi la deliberazione dell'11 gennaio 1849, colla quale i consiglieri comunali di Torino,
