Família antiga de Vicenza e talvez derivada do xará veneziano e atribuída ao nobre Conselho de Vicenza em 1562 na pessoa de Antonio Rodolfo II com seu diploma em 18 de outubro de 1576, ele criou os irmãos Sebastiano, Giuseppe e Antonio nobre do Sacro Império Romano. A família em 1694 teve o palatinado. Foi confirmado nobre com a Resolução Soberana de 22 de setembro de 1820 e adicionado por herança o nome da família Giustiniani, um nativo genovês e nobre de Vicenza. A família está registrada na lista oficial de nobres italianos com o título de nobre (mf.). Era o costume das famílias mais antigas, que após a queda do Império Romano, naquele dilúvio dos bárbaros, tendo seus sobrenomes, assim como seus estudos, e outras coisas bonitas perdidas e deixadas apenas com nomes simples, desenhavam seus sobrenomes , e sua família por nomes próprios paternos e pelos principais.
