Famiglia originaria da Locarno, che risiedeva già a Piacenza nella prima metà del sec. XVI. In un istrumento del 21 giugno 1543, ricevuto dal notaio Antonio Riccardi, Giacomo e Francesco istituiscono un fidecommisso su beni loro, detti Stradella Vigolzone. Un Giorgio fece testamento il 27 settembre 1572. Paolo Corrado con lettera patente del 18 luglio 1701 fu creato nobile da Francesco Farnese per sè e suoi discendenti d'ambo i sessi. Il figlio Francesco ebbe Giovanni, don Giuseppe e Benedetto, i quali nel 1798 adirono al Regio Consiglio di Piacenza per la composizione di una lite tra loro sorta per divisione di beni. Benedetto, morto il 14 febbraio 1807 a Piacenza, continuò la discendenza del ramo vivente della famiglia per Antonio (deced. 1835) e Vincenzo (deced. 1880). La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile (mf.).
