Antiga e nobre família siciliana, conhecida como Zummo ou Zumbo, de clara e ancestral virtude, com residência em Messina, Palermo e Siracusa, que se difundiu mundialmente, ao longo dos séculos. Além disso, esta família, em todas as idades, sempre se destaca, graças às figuras proeminentes, que deram origem, no serviço público, nas profissões liberais e eclesiásticas e no serviço militar.
