A Francesco Maria, nobile di Ancona, aggregato al patriziato di Roma e domiciliato a Iesi, Carlo Emanuele III di Savoia concedette con diploma 6 settembre 1754 il titolo marchionale trasmissibile in ordine di primogenitura maschile. Francesco Maria fu padre di Stanislao, nato a Jesi nel 1756, e Stanislao lo fu di Rinaldo, nato a Ostra Vetere nel 1796. Dalle Marche questi si trasferì a Cesena, e ivi gli nacque il figlio Eugenio l'11 maggio 1829. Caterina di Eugenio, moglie del consigliere di Prefettura cav. dott. Girolamo De Negri, è l'ultima di questa famiglia e porta il titolo personale di nobile dei marchesi. Altro ramo. Tre famiglie di questo cognome fiorirono in Firenze. La prima detta dal Delfino, ottenne il priorato nella persona di Bonajuto nel 1486; la seconda dette Nicolò priore nel 1393; alla terza appartenne Francesco priore nel 1345. Altro ramo.
