Discendenza legittimata da un'antica famiglia patrizia veneziana che fu ascritta alla nobiltà di Treviso il 29 luglio 1802 nella persona di Girolamo di Alessandro, il quale venne confermato nella nobiltà con Sovrana Risoluzione Austriaca 9 dicembre 1819. Con Decreto Ministeriale 28 agosto 1913 la nobiltà stessa venne riconosciuta ad: Antonietta, nata Treviso 8 aprile 1858, di Alessandro, di Girolamo di Paolina N.D. co. Albrizzi, in Antonio Marzotto conte pontificio (Milano). Con altro Decreto Ministeriale 9 agosto 1925, la nobiltà venne pure riconosciuta alla sorella della precedente: Maria Anna, nata Treviso, 23 giugno 1862, in Giacomo Enrico Ponti (Firenze). Altro ramo. Originaria di Trieste fu delle prime famiglie che per fuggire la furia dei barbari si trasferì nelle lagune venete circa il 551. Nel 1310 per servigi prestati al Doge ed al pubblico fu ascritta al Maggior Consiglio.
