ABRAM | ABRAMI | ABRAMO

These surnames are probably of Jewish origin, Abram is typical of the Trentino region, while Abrami seems to be specific to the Brescia area, Abramo is Sicilian, more properly from the area between Messina and Catania, they all derive from the Hebrew name Abram present in both the Latin and the Greek worlds, for example we read in an eclogue from the 5th century a. C.: "... limit iussusAbram patrio discuss Sarram ...". We find traces of this surname already in 1450 with a Jacobo de Abram from Bologna.
