Agli is very rare, it could be Piedmontese, Aglieri, very rare it is typical of the south-Milanese and Lodi area, Aglietti seems to be in the area between Florence and Pistoia, with possible ramifications in Umbria and a secondary stock in the Novara area, Aglio would seem to have a Lombard core, a strain in Sicily, should derive from the Latin nomen Allius or Alleius, sometimes through toponyms such as Agliè (TO), Aglietti (VC), Agliana (PT) or Agliate (MI).
