Albonetti has a Romagna lineage in Faenza, Brisighella, Ravenna, Lugo and Castel Bolognese in the Ravenna area, in Forlì and Tredozio in the Forlì area and in Imola and Bologna in the Bologna area, a stock in Senigallia nell'anconetano and one in Rome, Alboni is typical of Emilia with a stock in the Lodi area, Albonici, absolutely rare, it would seem Lazio, Albonico is specific to the Como area which, in some cases, could derive from the toponym Albonico, a fraction of Sorico in the Como area, all should derive, directly or through hypocoristic alterations, from the late name Latin Albonius, of which we have an example in an ancient tombstone: "Albonius Targell (i) Saturninus / militant S (aluti) v (otum) f (ecit)", or from the Lombard equivalent name Alboin.
