Brandelli, absolutely rare, seems to be from central Italy, Brandello, even more rare, perhaps it could be from Caserta, Brandini is much less rare than Tuscany, Brandino is Piedmontese, Brandone, absolutely rare, has a strain between lower Piedmont and Liguria and one in Molise , Brandoni has a stock in Ancona at Ancona, Castelfidardo, Osimo and Camerano and one at Viterbo and Rome, all derive, through hypochoristic or accretive, from the medieval name of Germanic origin Brando (see BRANDI), traces of these surnames are found in 1300 in Florence, as we can read in the Chronicle of the things needed in his own time by Dino Compagni: "... Vermiglio d'Iacopo Alfani, and Piero Brandini Gonfaloniere di Giustizia, who, as they were, went to Santa Croce , however that the office of the others was not completed ... ".
