BRAVETTI | BRAVI | BRAVIN | BRAVINI | BRAVO

Distributed throughout Italy with a prevalence in the north central Bravi. more specific than the Bravetti center, Bravin is from Friuli and the nearby Trevisano, Bravini is typical of the Terni area, of the Viterbo area and of the Roman area, Bravo is well present throughout northern Italy, in Lazio and Abruzzo and in the Palermo area, they should all derive, directly or through hypocoristic, from the Renaissance term bravo (guard), often characteristic of Germanic people, sometimes even simply as a nickname originated by attitudes of the progenitor, but it is also possible that they derive from the name Bravo that came into use in Italy in the era late Renaissance.
