BUREI | BURELLI

Very rare, Burei is certainly Venetian, it would appear to be limited to Trevisano with a significant concentration in Spresiano (TV), it should be an alteration by Burelli, who has a stock in Venice and one in the Udine area of Fagagna, Dignano and Rive d'Arcano, they could derive from toponyms such as Bure in the Verona area, but, most probably, they derive from nicknames originating from the Archaic Venetian term burèlo (a sort of ovoid-pointed wooden cylinder used by carpenters).
