Caione has an Abruzzese stock in L'Aquila and San Demetrio in Vestini, one in Rome, one in Foggia, one in Lecce and Matera, Caioni has a stock in Prato and one in Piceno in San Benedetto del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, Monsampolo del Tronto and Monteprandone, and a stock in Rome, could derive from an augmentative form of the Latin name Caius, of whose use we have an example in a writing of 1639: "... Et enim Locamerus parum tribuebat , quos appellitant, communium coacervationi; sed unique Caione Iustiniano, whose sane annotationibus quottidianis magnam inmad soul of the year 1050: "... ego Burno, filius quondam Benedicti, de vico Burno, loci Caioni, qui profeso sum ex natjone mea lege live Roman, offertor et donator ipsius monesterii, presens presentibus dixit ...".
