Calderon has almost disappeared, Calderone is typical Sicilian, Calderoni has a stock in the Ravenna area and one in the Bari area, it should be of Spanish origin, it could derive from a toponym, of countries called Calderon in Spain there are at least two, or by a nickname linked to or characteristic of a locality or a trade, the Calderon family is found as a feudal lord of the Spanish king in Calabria in the 1600s, in Bormio (SO) in 1507 in an act it reads: "... Et super hoc dat pro testibus Angelum Redulfini, Antonium Juliani, Simonem Andree Calderoni .... ".
