BOSIS | DE BOSIS

Bosis is typically Lombard, of the Bergamo in particular and of the neighboring areas of Milan and Brescia, De Bosis, absolutely rare, has a small stock in Theatine and one in Rome, should derive from the Germanic name Boso (see BOSELLI), traces of these we find the surnames in Lovere in an Instrumentum cessionis of 1474: "... Cession of Battista was Oliviero de Guinizonibus of Crema, ab. in Lovere, to Giovanni it was Bartolomeo de Bonaldis, ab. in Lovere, of every right to Matteo was Marchisio de Bosis of Bergamo on account of ducats of gold 95 and carantani of silver 40, due from Matteo to Battista, notary: Celeri (de Celeris Giuseppe fu Giovanni ... "and in Val Seriana in 1616 he was Vicar of Nembro a such Castellus Cararia de Bosis.
