Falasca is specific to Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise, Falaschi is typical of the belt that includes Tuscany, Romagna Marche up to Macerata, Umbria and upper Lazio, could derive from a modification of the ethnic falisci (population originating from central Italy) or even derive from a nickname originated from the Falasca word (sort of straw used to produce chairs, flasks and carboys, or locality names.
