LEONELLA | LEONELLI | LEONELLO | LIONELLI | LIONELLO

Leonella is almost unique and should derive from a transcription error by Leonello, who, very rare, is typical of the Calabrian area of Sinopoli and Delianuova (RC), Leonelli has an Emilian lineage and one between Terni and the province of Rome, Lionelli, very rare, it has a stock in Ostiano (CR) and one in Naples and Caivano (NA), Lionello would appear to be from Veneto, has stocks in Venice, Porto Viro and Rosolina (RO) and, in the Paduan area in Torreglia, Galzignano Terme and Albignasego and to Fonte ( TV), but there is a stock in Turin and one in the Neapolitan, they should all derive from the medieval name Leonellus of which we have an example in Ferrara in 1500: "... Magnificus Dominus Leonellus Catabenus de Ferraria, magister domus ac generalis
