The Micela, quite rare, is from the south of Sicily, from Scicli in the Ragusa area, from Militello in the Val di Catania in the Catania area and from Francofonte in the Syracuse area, Lamicela, decidedly more rare than the previous one, and of which it is a contracted form, is typical of the Catanese, Catania and Militello in Val di Catania, should derive from an archaic dialectal alteration of the name Michela (see MICELA), the article before the initial surname is quite widespread throughout the south.

Micela, quite rare, is Sicilian from Palermo and Caccamo from Palermo, Micele, extremely rare, seems to be typical of Locorotondo (BA), Miceli is widespread throughout Italy. the Calabrese stock could derive from San Miceli (CS), Micelli has two stocks, one in Salento and one in Venezia Giulia, deriving from a modification of the name Michele.
