Petercini is a typical surname of the Brescia area, Petracin, very very rare, it is typical of Padua and Arquà Petrarca in the Padua area and of Camponogara in the Venetian area, Petracini is practically unique and should be a transcription error of the previous one, they should derive, directly or through dialectal modifications from the medieval name Petercinus of which we have an example in a parchment of 1189 in Brescia (Brixie): "... ibi coram domino Iohanne de Burno iudice, consule iust itie Brixie et eius et auctoritate et verb, Ego Petercinus de Brembio notarius ... "and in a deed of 1376 to Gromo (BG):" ... Petercinus d. Zuchotus de Coduris de Ripis de Gandellino ... ", or even by the name Patracinus, or Petracinus, of which we have an example d use in this contract of the second half of 1200: "... insuper promisit dictus Guilielmus
