VASSALLI | VASSALLO

Vassalli has a Lombard nucleus, one in the Ferrarese, one Ligurian and one in the Bari, vassal has a Piedmontese ligurian nucleus, one Campania and one Sicilian, derives from the name Vassallus deriving from the medieval term indicating a free man subjected to the king, or to a noble Lord, or to a bishop, example of this use is in the diplomatic code of medieval Lombardy where, in an act of 1196 drawn up in Milan reads: "... Actum in Mediolano. Interfuerunt Otto et Petrus qui dicuntur de Dexio et Vassallus Pelluccus testes. Ego Rogerius qui dicor Palliarius notarius sacred palacii Tradidi and scripsi. "; Traces of this knowledge are made in an act of pardon of Roberto D'angiò to the citizens of Montoro (AV) dated June 1340, in which one reads among other things: "... Principalis Clemencia dum censored iuris for Lenitatis intuytum if Amabiliter obicit rigorem iusticie to be a moderamine hover Provisionis...... Iohannes de Solofra, Philippus Vassallus, Nicolaus Magistri Martutij de Montorio... ", traces in Piedmont are found in the second half of 1600 with Vittorio Vassallo of Conti Bruno di S. Samone Distinguished Architect.
