VENTUROSI | VENTUROSO

Venturosi, which would seem Emiliano is now almost disappeared, Venturoso, very very rare, seems friulano of the province of Pordenone, could both derive from the archaic name Venturoso, brought for example in the early 1600 by captain Venturoso whose deeds were brought back to Italy from South America and which may have stimulated emulation in a father wishing his son a life of adventure, as could also be surnames attributed to Foundlings. A distinguished representative was Angelo Venturosi (1749-1821), of Medicina in Bolognese, one of the most successful Italian architects of the end of 1700 and early 1800.
