VINCIO

Vincio, absolutely rare, is present in Tuscany, should derive from a contracted form of the medieval name Vincencio, of which we have an example of use in a map Promissionis of the year 1043 in Levate in Bergamo: "Ani ab incarnacione Domini our Iesu Christi Mileximo Quadragesimo anno Tercio, Canteens Iulius, Indicion Undecima. ", but it could also be of toponomastic origin and derive from the name of the village of S. Pierino in Vincio in Pistoiese.
