Ancient and noble family from Antwerp, a Flemish city in Belgium, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The Glenisson have been ascribed to the nobility in Turnhout; nobility confirmed by granting of nobility November 5, 1924. According to what has been handed down to us, they had also the title of count by the Papal States. Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal and ecclesiastical professions and in the military service.
