Ancient and noble family originally from San Chirico Raparo, in the Lagonegrese area, whose ancestors had a "distinguished rank", under the reign of Philip III. In the family archive, in Palazzo San Gervasio, there are two parchments, one dated July 8, 1607 and the other, dated August 28, 1714, which testify to the foundation of two lay chaplaincies by the d'Errico family, in San Chirico Raparo, dedicated respectively to San Carlo Borromeo and Santa Maria del Carmine, both noble and with rich donations. From another parchment, dated 1607, we note that Don Felice D'Errico, elected by the University of San Chirico Raparo, together with other members of the same, alienated various duties and gabelles to a certain Bernardino Guarnaccia, in consideration of a capital received for the needs of San Chirico. The progenitor of the D'Erricos of Palazzo San Gervasio was a Giuseppe, born in San Chirico Raparo in 1757,
