La antigua y muy noble familia Campania, llamada Fusco, Fosco o Foschi, todas variantes de la misma cognominación, que se ha extendido a lo largo de los siglos en diferentes regiones de Italia. A esta familia, unida a la nobleza de Ravello en 1743, pertenecían ocho obispos, entre los cuales Angelotto, comandante del Cava, elegido cardenal en 1432 por el papa Eugenio IV; Nicola, señor de Acerno, copero de Carlos III de Anjou; Nicola, señor de Valenzano, tesorero general del rey Ladislao D'Angiò Durazzo.
