Se pretende que ella sea originaria de Florencia. Disfrutó de la nobleza en Messina del siglo XVI al siglo XVIII y en Augusta. Se observa a Pietro en el noble maestro de Mollica (lista XVI, año 1602); un Cirino obtuvo, con el privilegio del 8 de junio de 1626, una enemistad del territorio de Pezzagrande y el título de barón; Jerónimo fue capitán de justicia de Augusta en 1645-46; Giovanni Domenico Rosso, de Cirino, obtuvo una investidura de Pezzagrande el 24 de agosto de 1662; Hércules Cirino, primogénito del anterior, fue investido el 4 de mayo de 1673 de dicha baronía. Massa y de estos a Agata Fernández quien declaró haberlo comprado en interés de Ercole y Rincón de Astorga, lo mismo que el anterior, quienes volvieron a invertir en el Ott. de 1681; El propio Hércules, como heredero de Orazia Lentini y San Basile, era dueño de la baronía
