Antiga e nobre família alemã, de virtude clara e ancestral, que se espalhou pelo mundo, ao longo dos séculos. A primeira evidência deste sobrenome remonta ao século XIII, quando floresceu um Dilndeych (1242), sacristão em Riedlingen. Do ponto de vista heráldico e nobre, esta linhagem é originária do Alto Palatinado e foi enobrecida pelo Imperador José I no ano de 1758, mas já em 4 de abril de 1708 os seus expoentes podiam ostentar o título de Cavaleiros do Sacro Império Romano. O título de cavaleiro foi confirmado na Baviera, em 27 de agosto de 1821. Conhecida como Rockel, Röckel ou Rœckel, a clara nobreza desta ilustre família é também confirmada pela sua presença em alguns dos mais icónicos livros de heráldica, tais como: "Siebmachers Wappenbuch ", do artista heráldico alemão Johann Ambrosius Siebmacher, um livro heráldico em vários volumes sobre a nobreza do Sacro Império Romano e "Armorial général",
